Volunteer Opportunities

Bilingual Committee: Coordinates communication and translation services to ESL parents and students.

Book Fairs Assists library staff as needed in set-up and take down of displays, assisting children in making selections, and collecting money. (One each in fall and spring.)

Brown Bags: Assists teachers with projects that can be completed at school or at home. Items might include cutting, collating, etc..

Community Outreach: Assists with outreach programs to provide clothing, food, and other donations Charity Services throughout the year.

Hearing/Vision Screening: Provides assistance to the school nurse with annual examinations. Some Assistants volunteers will need to receive training from the district, while others can help with things like height and weight measurements.

Homeroom Parents– At least one parent is needed from each class to assist with class parties, fieldtrips, and communications to parents via phone/email for school related issues as needed.

Box Tops Committee: Coordinates the collection of items through Incentive Program.

Library:help including duties such as: shelving books, helping children find books, stamping and covering books.

“On-Call” Volunteer Individuals who have indicated PTO can “Call me as needed” for special projects throughout the year.

School Picture Days: Provides assistance to the students, staff, and photography staff on school picture days.

Staff Appreciation: Assists with refreshments, treats, breakfasts, luncheons, for teachers and staff during designated periods throughout year.
